Connecticut: If people would just see.

70% of CT fatalities from COVID-19 are nursing home and assisted living patients. (source: Hartford Courant)
If people would just see:
Yes, this is sad. Where do you assume most of the 2,300,000 annual deaths in the United States occur?
Nursing homes, perhaps?
Total Fatalities (5,111) – Nursing Homes Deaths (3,578)= 1,533 out of the non-nursing home patient 3,500,000+ people in Connecticut.
Only 107 people under 50 in the entire state.
Only 9 under 30.
That’s without talking about false positive testing. Or what “COVID-related” deaths mean and CDC guidelines on categorizing fatalities even without a positive test.
I mean, come on! We shut down life and ruined out lives for this?
Over 30,000 deaths are happening in Connecticut this year regardless of COVID-19. (link)
This data has been clear since April. This isn’t a “death sentence” for the VAST majority of cases. Opening everything and seeing infections over the sunny summer instead of causing a dark winter would have saved lives, instead of prolonging depression, anxiety, financial suffering, and terrorizing our children for 8 months.
Bars + nightclubs open. Travel open. And, by God, churches completely open.
Grandma at home – don’t go.
Everyone help your grandparents order groceries online.
Wait for a vaccine if you want.
No more BS. No more excuses. FREEDOM NOW.
It’s time.
Open your neighbor’s business.
Give our children some hope.
This is not worth the nightmare.
