Crowd Protests Connecticut School Mask Mandate During Governor’s State Address
Protesters demonstrated against mask mandates in Connecticut schools outside the state capitol in Hartford on February 9, as Gov Ned Lamont delivered his State of the State address to lawmakers inside, local media reported.
In footage posted by @maskchoicefarmingtonvalley on Instagram, demonstrators can be seen carrying signs that read “Unmask our kids,” as passing cars honk their horns.
The governor said that the state-wide school mask mandate was set to end on February 28, with decisions on whether to require masks to “made at a local level” after that. Credit: @maskchoicefarmingtonvalley via Storyful
